This association is a reflection of accomplishment and aspiration of the Sarawak graduates from the University of Adelaide. Members will also be given an excellent platform to identify fruitful association through common experiences.

With strong support from members, I am confident that this Association will play its meaningful role in the society and achieve its noble objectives. Through active participation, members will also be able to interact, establish or rekindle fellowship. All graduates of the University of Adelaide are encouraged to become members of the Association.

We should encourage regional interaction via our alumni network. In this way, we can promote friendship, foster closer ties and goodwill among the graduates and our countries. By working together, we should be able to do bigger things, to contribute to our community and our region. Let us keep this spirit of cooperation alive to go for bigger challenge in the age of Globalisation. Graduates association like ours will play a prominent role in helping to organise and motivate the professionals to contribute towards the development of our state and our country.

In conclusion, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the SAUA Launching Organising Committee and the sponsors for making this a reality. My sincere thanks and congratulations also go to the SAUA Executive Committee for their enthusiasm, co-operation, dedication and commitment and commendable efforts and also in the launching.
